The new veterinary continuing education event in Europe organized by AVEPA and NAVC
The combined effort and successful partnership between AVEPA and NAVC has given birth to the biggest Veterinary Conference in Southern Europe providing the European veterinary community and equine practitioners with a first-class continuing education event that combines a wide and varied scientific programme together with an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the mild Mediterranean climate in the finest, modern, seafront convention facilities that the city of Barcelona has to offer.
This year’s event will give veterinary and equine professionals the same unique, varied learning opportunities with the addition of a special two-and-a-half day Equine Programme and a two-and-a-half day International Veterinary Technician Programme. Practical, hands-on, clinical workshops and wet-labs will be complemented by an all-encompassing, two-an-a-half day programme covering the many aspects of Practice Management.
The SEVC also hosts an extensive commercial exhibition, offering visitors a chance to sample a variety of practical, economic deals from the sector`s principal retailers.
The Scientific Programme, including the pre-congress symposium, allows registrants to hear over 200 guest speakers give multidisciplinary lectures, that will cover a wide area of clinical specialities such as surgery, cardiology, orthopaedics, pain management, dermatology, acupuncture, diagnostic imaging, critical care, animal behaviour, reproduction and genetics, anaesthesia and pain management, ophthalmology, dentistry, and neurology; with special emphasis on canine, feline, equine and other small companion animal medical care.
The SEVC mission is to present the veterinarian community with the latest advances in animal care in an environment of professionalism, fun and sun. The social calendar will include daily lunch at the conference centre and the not-to-be-missed Congress Party. The location of Barcelona offers, not only the great conference facilities, but also fantastic cultural, gastronomic and tourist attractions. Not forgetting the commercial opportunities, in what is one of Europe`s finest shopping areas.
